Ruby Garner

Ruby Garner of Cheyenne, Wyoming, for going above and beyond in her selfless and caring commitment of service to the elderly. Garner has been a dedicated senior companion for more than 17 years, volunteering under Corporation for Community and National Service. Garner tends to various needs of homebound seniors, from buying groceries to ensuring they get to their medical appointments. Garner has prevented depressed elders from committing suicide and gives in-services on behalf of the Senior Companions to United Way and other community agencies. Garner’s unwavering dedication and empathy have made her a beacon of light in the Cheyenne community.
