Stacie Chandler

Stacie Chandler of Fall City, Washington, for going above and beyond in her selfless and dedicated service to helping her community. Chandler has been a volunteer member of King County K9 Search and Rescue for the past nine years. Chandler and her canine companion, Sage, have found a total of 11 people, including Alzheimer patients, lost hikers and drowning victims, and have helped to solve homicide cases by locating buried bodies. Some searches require remote helicopter drops into the wilderness for days at a time where they have to rely on their own backcountry skills to survive while trying to locate missing people. Chandler has committed hundreds of hours organizing and training with Sage in air scent, water, and avalanche rescue. She travels across the country at her own cost, conducting seminars to further her expertise, all for the benefit of others.
