Richard Lammers

Richard Lammers of Omaha, Nebraska, for going above and beyond as a volunteer for numerous good causes. Since the age of 14, Lammers has been a Habitat for Humanity volunteer and participated in local Youth Builds. As a Red Cross Disaster Action Team supervisor, Lammers is on call 24 hours a day, ready to help his community. During the Hurricane Katrina disaster, Lammers worked with evacuees who had been moved to Omaha from effected areas in the South. Working around the clock, the dedicated Lammers once attended a nighttime fire call before putting in a 25-hour shift at the Katrina shelter.
