Morrill Worcester
Morrill Worcester of Harrington, Maine, for going above and beyond with his efforts to honor America's fallen heroes. Worcester, president of the Worcester Wreath Company, had a desire to express his appreciation for the sacrifices that veterans have made for this country. In 1992, he decided to donate, transport, and oversee the placement of Maine balsam fir holiday wreaths on the graves of service men and women buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The result of Worchester's heartfelt gesture is the organization "Wreaths Across America," whose mission is to honor veterans in every state and national cemetery across the country. Because of this one man's idea, today more than 90,000 wreaths have been laid on the graves of American troops in all 50 states.
