Kathy Findley

Kathy Findley of Little Rock, Arkansas, for going above and beyond as a champion for victims of abuse. A survivor of childhood abuse herself, Findley has dedicated over 25 years of her life to counseling, advocacy, and violence prevention as well as training and educating communities. In December 2002, with only a $3,000 grant and no salary, Findley founded “Safe Places: The Center for Healing and Hope,” which provides support to children and adults who suffer the physical and emotional ravages of violence. Findley works 18 hours a day in order to achieve a violence-free environment for every child.
